WordPress Update – Admin Error

If you have just updated to WordPress and use Plug-Ins like Elementor or Advanced Custom Fields, you may come across an error when editing an existing Page or Post in the Admin area.

A blank screen appears, stating an error has occurred, would you like to try and fix it (doesn’t work) see the error code, post error etc.

The error code looks something like:

TypeError: (0 , b.getSettings) is not a function

Pressing Ctrl and F5 keys (on a PC) will refresh your browser cache and should solve the error.

I hope this is helpful to someone, I have just spent 10 minutes in a petrified state looking at the error on a client’s site as part of our webmaster services offer. I’d taken a back-up before updating WP but there’s always that ‘Oh God what have I done’ moment!
